⚽ Soccer Tournament, Worship & Gospel Outreach in Run Ta Ek City

Christ, Community, and Sports — Bringing People Together Through the Gospel

On August 22, 2026, Pastor Van Ravy, the Soccer Tournament Committee Board with Danish Lutheran Mission (DLM) worked together to organize a special Soccer Tournament Outreach in Run Ta Ek City, Siem Reap, Cambodia, at the Living Hope Center Run Ta Ek.

This event was more than a soccer competition. It was an opportunity to worship God, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, build relationships, and bring the community together through sports.

🙏 Worship Before the Tournament

Before the soccer competition began, participants, organizers, young people, and community members gathered together for Christian worship and prayer.

The gathering provided an opportunity to:

Worship and praise God
Pray for the players, families, and community
Hear God’s Word
Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ
Encourage young people to live with faith, integrity, and hope

The message reminded everyone that soccer is a game, but life is more than a game. Through Jesus Christ, we have true hope, forgiveness, and eternal life.

⚽ Soccer Competition

Following the worship and Gospel presentation, the teams participated in a friendly and competitive soccer tournament.

The tournament encouraged young people to develop:

Teamwork • Discipline • Respect • Friendship • Leadership • Fair Play

Players competed with energy and enthusiasm while demonstrating respect for one another and building friendships across the community.
