Hope Lutheran Evangelical Church – Ministry in Cambodia
Hope Lutheran Evangelical Church (HLEC) is a Christ-centered ministry serving communities in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The heart of our ministry is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, make disciples, strengthen families, and demonstrate God’s love through practical service.
Our ministry combines worship, biblical teaching, evangelism, discipleship, pastoral care, Christian education, and community outreach. We seek to build meaningful relationships with people and share the hope of Christ through both words and actions.
Key Ministry Areas
- Gospel & Evangelism: Proclaiming Jesus Christ and sharing the Good News with individuals, families, and communities.
- Discipleship: Training and mentoring new believers to grow in God’s Word and become faithful followers of Christ.
- Pastoral Care & Counseling: Providing spiritual encouragement, prayer, biblical guidance, and care for people facing life’s challenges.
- Christian Education: Teaching children, youth, and adults through Bible studies, Sunday School, and other educational programs.
- English & Computer Outreach: Providing educational opportunities that serve the community while creating relationships and opportunities to share Christ.
- Youth & Sports Ministry: Using soccer and sports activities to connect with young people, build relationships, promote healthy communities, and create opportunities for Gospel outreach.
- Community Service: Serving people practically through initiatives such as eyeglass clinics and assistance to communities in need.
- Church Leadership Development: Training and equipping Christian leaders and disciples through workshops, mentoring, and ministry partnerships.
- Partnership & Mission: Working with churches, Christian organizations, and ministry partners to extend the Gospel and strengthen ministry throughout Cambodia.
At Hope Lutheran Evangelical Church, we believe that ministry is not limited to the church building. We seek to reach beyond our walls, meeting people where they are and demonstrating the love of Christ through service, teaching, friendship, and Gospel witness.
