Statement of Faith
There is only one true God—the Triune God—who exists in trinity with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God the Father is our maker and the creator of all things. By His word, all things were made, and we are His most beloved creation; we are closest to His heart. The Son is Jesus Christ, who came to be born on earth as the perfect to redeem all sinners. He came to find us, and He listened to the Father on our behalf. The Holy Spirit calls us and converts us to believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior, keeps us in the one true faith, and equips us to live out our faith. He is the inspiration in our heart’s ears.
It is through faith in Jesus that we get the absolution of sins and timeless life—by accepting that He has liberated us from the responsibility, discipline, and force of transgression. Faith is God’s work in our lives by the Holy Spirit; it doesn’t come to us through anything we are prepared to do, however, through how God helps us. We essentially get what is now being presented out of God’s extraordinary love.
Since there is no way to acquire salvation, we don’t do acts of kindness to be saved; benevolent acts are finished out of acclaim and thanks since we are saved. Such acts of kindness incorporate, however, and are surely not restricted to, serving and really focusing on the requirements of others, regarding and giving appreciation to those in power, respecting our promises and responsibilities, and by and large doing what is thought of by quite a few people to be great and right. It’s not unexpected that Martin Luther communicated it along these lines: God needn’t bother with our acts of kindness, however our neighbor does.
Mission Statement: Hope Lutheran Church is a global ministry outreach into the community. Located in Taros Village, Siem Reap City, Cambodia, this church strives to proclaim to everyone the Love of Jesus Christ. The Mission of this church is to share, to proclaim to everyone the Love of Jesus Christ. This is done through His love and our actions, being the hands and feet of our dear Father. In fact, the sole reason Hope Lutheran Church exists is to ‘touch hearts and transform lives with the light of Jesus Christ.’ We are the spiritual hub of Taros Village community. We want to make disciples through the sharing of the Word, baptizing, and teaching as Jesus has commanded.
Vision Statement: The Vision statement is to plant seeds that transform lives for eternity, sharing the love of Christ and making disciples in our families, our neighborhood, and our community. This ministry encompasses multiple facets, as God ordains, and we are his hands and feet for whomever and whatever is sent our way. There are no boundaries here. God not only ordains this ministry, but He also directs the path we are to follow. Anyone is welcome to come and hear the gospel message, share in the community, and be an integral part of the process into eternity. We want each person sent to us to know the love of God and be in a life that is His. Purpose: Hope Lutheran Church exists for the express purpose of bringing men, women, and children into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; building men, women, and children up in the Gospel, and sending men, women, and children out as witnesses to that Gospel.
